Kleanbus is a company that has been around for over 30 years. They are a leading manufacturer of electric buses, which are low-emission vehicles with zero emissions. Kleanbus has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to accelerate their repower offering. The campaign has already hit more than 80% of its £250,000 target, with over £200,000 raised, which will support more than £500k of ‘Angel’ investment to date.
The minimum investment level on Crowdcube is £10, with a single share costing £1. As part of their investment, UK taxpayers are eligible for 30% EIS relief on their next tax bill.
The campaign will offer an opportunity for people to invest in clean energy products that are made by repowering old diesel buses. This also will help accelerate Kleanbus’s ongoing efforts to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, while also creating opportunities for investors and partners to collaborate with Kleanbus.
“With a repower that can be done in as little as two weeks, Kleanbus will bring buses back into service as quickly as possible, at one-fifth the cost of new electric buses and one-third the cost of operating diesel buses”,- the company said
Joe Tighe, Kleanbus co-founder and CEO, said: “We are delighted to invite public investors to further leverage Kleanbus’ existing significant funding and rapid business momentum. Fleet operators are working together on pilot projects and we’ve seen a very positive response to the level of investment to date. As a company committed to driving positive change, we believe it’s the right thing to do to get people involved in this revolution. Crowdcube is The ideal platform to achieve this, and we are delighted that our shareholders are joining us on our journey.”
