“Ukraine. People. Lives. Steps to infrastructure resiliency in the conditions of war and its further rehabilitation. Going independent of fossil fuels at a new level of motivation”. Ukraine at AUTONOMY Paris & the Urban Mobility Weekly

On 16 March AVERE Ukraine, represented by its President Denis Radiuk and Vice President of Communications Daria Osiik took part in AUTONOMY Paris & the Urban Mobility Weekly speaking with the topic “Ukraine. People. Lives. Steps to infrastructure resiliency in the conditions of war and its further rehabilitation. Going independent of fossil fuels at a new level of motivation”.

Together with Ross Douglas we discussed current economic and security challenges in Ukraine. The way of heroic transformations in our cities going through. Ukrainian chances to become the first fossil fuels free nation. The fossil fuels became the weapon of mass destruction.

Due to the scale infrastructure destruction from war, Ukraine needs the respective scale of supportive and restorative solutions now #rebuildukraine

The entire Europe needs to realize also the one thing – there is no better time than now to refuse from fossil dependency – the most ruining weapon of 21-th century. Fossil dependency kills people faster through conflicts than climate but climate kills more again. Climate change raises conflicts and the last leads to pushing sustainability out of global agenda that brings climate change to be irresolvable.

The war is something noone can adapt. Remember that.
