Ukraine was represented for the first time at the world’s largest event on electric mobility

For the first time at the World Electric Vehicle Symposium – International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS35), which took place from 11 to 15 June in Oslo (Norway), the Ukrainian electric vehicle industry was presented. Through the efforts of AVERE Ukraine and with the support of: AVERE – The European Association for Electromobility, Norsk elbilforening (Norwegian EV Association) and Norwegian – Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC), a collective stand of domestic electric car businesses was organized.

Over the course of five days, EVS35 was visited by more than 10,000 representatives of the electric vehicle industry from around the world, including leading industry leaders, investors and politicians. The Ukrainian delegation presented domestic products and services at the collective stand. Has held a number of talks with potential partners.

Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation also had the opportunity to integrate the latest technological advances into their practice. “If a few years ago someone needed to be persuaded to move to the bright side, now the situation has changed. The choice has already been made, and everyone is discussing how to switch to clean energy more efficiently, – shares his impressions of participating in EVS35, the director of the network of TOKA gas stations Stephan Blagovisnyy. – I was impressed by the number of manufacturers of equipment for charging infrastructure. I hope that with some of them we will become partners. I was also impressed by the readiness of commercial equipment for implementation in business. The only deterrent is the price, but in the EU, governments help businesses by compensating more than 20% of the cost, which is cool. Surprised by the level of penetration of Chinese automakers in the Norwegian market. It was interesting to hear the speakers’ reports on the charging infrastructure, their experience will be useful for us as well. In general, the impressions are cool. We were emotionally charged and once again convinced that we are moving in the right direction, “said Stefan.

“Promotion of Ukrainian electric car products and technologies at such a global event is especially important right now. This gives domestic businesses the opportunity to attract new investment and accelerate the pace of development despite the war, – said the president of AVERE Ukraine Denis Radіuk. – But the most important thing is to get new opportunities for fuel independence, because it is electric vehicles that allow the use of locally generated energy instead of imported fuel. And such positive changes are as irreversible as Ukraine’s European future.”

Addition. The International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS) is the largest electric vehicle event in the world, held every three years in Europe, alternating with the countries of America and Asia. Norway was chosen to host EVS35, as it is the leader in the pace of electric mobility in Europe, and Oslo is the capital of electric mobility. EVS35 was attended by 2,500 delegations from 70 countries, and the number of visitors exceeded 10,000, which is currently a record for this event.
